Welcome to Nomad Innovations, a pioneering force dedicated to fostering science, technology, and innovation among the youth in Northern Kenya. Our journey is driven by a commitment to empower the next generation with foundational digital skills that encourage critical inquiry, creative problem-solving, and computational thinking.
Established with the vision that youth in marginalized areas should not merely be consumers of technology but creators, Nomad Innovations is making a substantial impact. Our initiative focuses on providing comprehensive digital skills training to bridge the existing skills gap and enhance employment prospects for the youth in Kenya & Somalia.
The Opportunity
According to the WEF, more than half of the jobs that we do in 2030 will require an understanding of digital technology. This means that people who are able to effectively use digital tools and platforms to solve problems and create value will be increasingly in demand
Nomads innovation aims to prepare youth to fill these positions.
Who We Help
Nomads innovation serves young adults ages 17 to 29 who are early leavers of high school or are facing barriers to education or employment.
The Need
This scarcity of accessible online courses poses a formidable challenge for marginalized African youth, depriving them of the necessary training and resources to break away from low-paying, part-time jobs. Many find themselves confined to sectors such as food service and retail, where upward mobility is limited due to a lack of relevant skills and opportunities.
As a result, young adults today do not have access to the training or resources needed to climb out of low-paying, part-time jobs in the informal economies and retail industries.
